ReplyDeleteI was at the Mac football game yesterday. During halftime there were no local business/promo competitions happening on the field. Instead the audience had to listen to outdated college fight songs which included "Dixie."
ReplyDeleteBottom line: There are millions of Americans who have ancestors wishing that they were not "in the land of cotton" with "old time gone but not forgotten."
I find this unacceptable at a college like Macalester and hope it never happens again.
If anyone out there has access to the people who choose half-time music, can you put the word in to stop with the "land of cotton" stuff? Also, why no half-time promotions??
